Calonge organizes its own Medieval fair that takes place over the Easter weekend, with floating dates corresponding to the Christian calendar. The fair, called the Medieval Market of Calonge, is a fun-filled family affair that takes over the whole town centre and has a plethora of activities for the visitors of all ages. Market participants are encouraged to come dressed up in costumes, enjoy the decorated streets, shop and spectate.
The Medieval Market of Calonge has something for everyone. Jousting tourneys, fire spectacles, falconry performances, exhibitions on local history and photography, a children's corner, even pony rides and a small petting zoo for the little ones are very popular. Naturally, the Giants ("gegantes") of Calonge participate in the market as well.
Different activities are held in different spots in town, including the Calonge castle gardens, squares Plaįa d'Armes, Plaįa Mayor, Plaįa de la Doma, the streets of the old town, and the parking lot on Avenida de Sant Jordi, where the fire spectacle takes place.
