The sycamore tree in the centre of Colera is a so-called monumental tree, a protected heritage object that requires special care and treatment.
The tree was planted in 1898, but even a hundred years is not unheard of for this tree type — as you may notice, the Colera sycamore is in excellent health and shape. It currently provides shade for all restaurant patios on the central square.
The height of the Colera sycamore tree is 10 m; the trunk circumference is 3.32 m, and the average diameter of the crown is 20.3 m.
