One of the largest wine showcases in the region, the Empordà Wine Show takes place in Figueres, Alt Empordà, on the second weekend of September. Figueres, a popular tourist destination thanks to Salvador Dalí, turns into a bustling scene of wine tasting, wine shopping, and general wine merry-making for 4 days.
The Empordà Wine Show offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know DO Empordà, the rising star of a wine region, better. At your service: group tastings led by notable Empordà wineries, wine cellar presentations, food pairing workshops, lectures and movie screenings, kids’ activities, concerts, and, of course, wine shopping!
The fair begins on Thursday and runs until Sunday. The events and activities on Thursday and Friday take place in the evening, beginning at approximately 6 pm. Saturday and Sunday, the Fair runs all day, pausing only for an extended lunch break.
