The popular beer festival in Platja d’Aro has been running on the coast since the 1980s. Beer lovers flock to town in October to sample over 30 types of beers produced locally in the Costa Brava and internationally. Live music from bands, rock groups, and DJs accompanies the event from morning to night.
Festival Castell de Peralada is a major international music festival taking place in July and August on various stages erected in the church, monastery and park of the Peralada Castle. The festival was founded in 1987. In 2025, it was held for the 39th time.
